Meet Corrine – Founder of EMPOWER
Anyone who’s met Corrine knows just how passionate she is about the health and well-being of others. As a mum of three, she deeply understands how important it is for women to prioritise time for themselves—to support both their mental and physical health through movement.
Corrine discovered the Pilates Method over 15 years ago and instantly fell in love. After the birth of her third child, she made the bold decision to step away from a successful career in media and advertising to pursue her long-time dream of becoming a full-time Pilates Instructor.
In 2020, EMPOWER was born—offering Reformer Pilates alongside Strength & Conditioning classes to give members both variety and maximum value.
But it didn’t stop there. Corrine soon noticed that incorporating regular weight training into her own routine, alongside Pilates, not only helped her manage the early signs of perimenopause, but also left her feeling stronger, fitter, and more confident than ever before.
After hundreds of hours of study and research, EMPOWER evolved into what it is today: a movement studio dedicated to Women’s Longevity through functional movement. Classes aren’t just added for variety or extra value—each one is intentionally selected and thoughtfully designed to support women through life’s transitions. Our goal isn’t just to help women look and feel better now, but to lay the foundation for a long, healthy, and independent life.
A Note from Corrine
I truly love what I do.
I love holding space for women to prioritise their mental and physical health through movement.
I love witnessing the connections and community that naturally form within EMPOWER—seeing women support, encourage, and uplift each other.
I love making women feel seen and heard at every stage of life. Age is just a number, and life absolutely doesn’t end because society says it should. You can feel your strongest, fittest, and most confident in your 40s, 50s and beyond.
I love creating an inspiring work environment for our incredible instructors and personal trainers, and I’m committed to investing in their growth and development.
I love showing my daughter—and my sons—that women can build, lead, and grow a business, work full-time, and still be a present, amazing mum if that’s what they choose.
And of course… I love teaching a killer Reformer or Barre class—where, in just 45 minutes, every woman leaves feeling empowered, energised, and like she’s just had a positive movement experience, often saying ‘Gosh I needed that’
